Applicable succession planning for younger generations
Research tells us that at least 60 % of success in survival of a family business depends on a well-devised and practical plan for the next generation owners to integrate as the stewards of the family enterprise.
This is easier said than done.
Current leaders of a family business are either too busy running their enterprise or they have communication problems with their next generation to bring them up to facing their responsibilities. Protectionism, emotional baggage, unwillingness, generational gap and the like prevent the leaders from properly planning for succession.
So that’s why most family businesses end with their current owners.
This is not inevitable.
By guiding the family impartially, I help them prepare a viable succession plan with the necessary scenarios, and I coach the younger generation members to reach their goals.
